Summary |
This is a basic text of life insurance. It presupposes no prior knowledge of the subject, and its treats of all the topics that constitute the foundation for the study of the more specialized phases of the subject. Emphasis is placed on principles, and throughout the book the underlying reasons for the various contract provisions, actuarial computations, underwriting practices, and legal doctrines are stressed. All technical terms are carefully defined and consistently employed. Visual demonstrations of concepts are liberally interspersed throughout the more technical sections of the book.
The volume reflects more than a decade of experimentation by the author as to the best manner in which to present ideas and concepts to students of insurance.
