Part I begins with the role of financial; system in economic development
Part II traces the evolution and the present status of various financial institutions in India.
Part III is devoted to financial markets in India.
Part IV deals with financial instruments, particularly the emergence of derivative instruments in India.
Part V contains 2 appendices. Appendix 1 explains at length the techniques and risk management associated with internet banking. Appendix 2 relates to current global financial crisis, its impact on India and policy response by govt agencies.
Part VI contains glossary of money, banking and finance, bibliography and index.
