The concept of human development probably as old as civilization, economic development traditionally measured in terms of gross domestic product (GDP). The choices include not only income and employment, but also health, education, decent living & freedom, sanitation, safe drinking water are major parameters of human development. This volume addresses a variety of scholars on multi-dimensional issues related to human development in general, tribals and gender in particular.
