Summary |
this edition deals with important changes in the basic standard fire insurance policy and in the forms and endorsements prepared for use therewith. The fire insurance policy is conceived as a personal contract with those who are insured under it. It is not a property contract. this conception is clearly sustained in the wording of the 165 line standard policy, approved by the Convention of Insurance Commissioners and adopted by most of the States for use. The various forms prepared for use with the standard policy to cover different kinds and types of property are intended to carry out that conception.
