The concept of social security is multi dimensional in its particularly, in the modernized society it may include within its ambit and scope, also the aspects of socio-economic justice done to the members of the society. Presently, most of the societies are making efforts by adopting schemes to provide social security to individual in childhood, old age, sickness, maternity invalidity, accident, industrial disease, unemployment, death of bread-winner and other such emergencies. In short the main purpose of social security schemes is to provide insurance against interruption and destruction of earning capability and for extra expenditure occurred at birth, marriage or death.
