Summary |
The overview of the legislative and regulatory framework relating to insurance in Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka deals with 98 aspects in relation to which summaries are provided. This covers practically almost all the aspects of relevance to regulators, insurers and other market participants.
It is hoped that this publication will serve as the basis for further work on the harmonization of legal requirements within the South Asian region where much more yet remains to be done to popularize insurance and to ensure the development and maintenance of a healthy, viable and robust insurance industry.
