Business and the law offers business law students a comprehensive and accessible introduction to the Australian legal system and all major areas of substantive law relevant to contemporary commercial activity.
The fourth edition of this highly regarded text has been updated and revised to take account of legislative and common-law developments. A new chapter on anti-discrimination law has been included and key chapters have been substantially rewritten. This edition also introduces some new features, with each chapter now incorporating an expanded introduction, web references and discussion questions. Additional case studies and contemporary materials addressing current issues have been included.
The main authors of the previous edition – Andrew terry (professor and head of the school of business law and taxation at UNSW) and des Giugni (who has recently retired from the school) – have been joined in the fourth edition by contributors from other leading universities.
