This audit presents two perspectives on strategic alliances. The first section discusses the evaluation of alliances for manufacturing firms, while the second focuses on service firms. Although some information is common to both sections, most managers should review both perspectives before initiating an audit in as much as each contains valuable tips that are applicable to any alliance setting.
Part 3 looks at the audit process itself and provides a framework that addresses some of the logistical and process requirements of conducting an audit. Part 4 comprises series of questions based on the steps in Parts 1 and 2. The questions are designed to help plan and implement audit in a straightforward and practical manner.
