The aim of this book is to provide a clear, well-structured and interesting treatment of why and how organisations are vulnerable to loss, destruction, damage, unauthorised access and misuse of business information. The text will provide a logical path through the understanding of BI threats, attacks and consequences, controls and countermeasures to the establishment of a proactive and professional BI culture. We present a multidisciplinary approach to information systems security underpinned by the risk management process, supporting the development of an integrated information security management system that fits organizational goals and the requirement to preserve confidentiality, integrity and systems availability.
