It is appropriate at a time of increasing international trade, the development of the 1992 Single Market entity in Europe and more emphasis being given by Governments worldwide to develop their economics, through export growth, that this multi-lingual dictionary of Commercial International Trade and Shipping Terms should be published in four languages.
Overall some 2200 terms have been assembled to cover those used in the daily conduct of international trade and commerce.
The Dictionary will be ideal for Exporters, Importers, Travel Agents, Shipbrokers, Freight Forwarders, Ship-owners, Port Authorities, Airport Authorities, Container Operators, International Road Hauliers, Bankers, Marine Engineers, Insurance Brokers, Average Adjusters and so on. The Dictionary will also be welcome in language Schools and Institutes throughout the world. Furthermore it will aid language tutors/students to develop the vocabulary associated with the numerous professions found in Commerce, International Trade, and Shipping such as Banking, Insurance, Marketing etc.
