ABOUT THE BOOK

The issue of personal liability of board members and managers has attracted growing attention in Austria recently. As a result, the concept of D&O insurance, which is intended to insure board members and managers against certain types of liability, became a topic of interest as well. The paper was approved as Diplomarbeit at the WU Wien in 2005. As it intends to give a basic overview of the topic, only minor changes were made in the meantime.
