This book is effectively divided in three parts. In the first part, the editors by way of an introductory chapter attempt to explain the background, key principles, and headlines of the framework of the EU Banking and Insurance insolvency system.
The second part of the book contains a number of country implementation chapters.
EU banking and insurance insolvency as applicable in individual EU countries is a very complex matter, as it specifies norms related both to the general rules of the EU Insolvency Regulation and to the relevant EU financial sector Directives, and all this in particular domestic contexts.
The country contributions are of course simply introductions to the subject of implementation in each country and should not be relied upon in any particular legal dispute without taking full and proper local law advice addressed to the facts and issues of each particular case.
