ABOUT THE BOOK

The following is the text of the Secretarial Standard-1 (SS-1) issued by the Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, on “Meetings of the Board of Directors”. This Standard seeks to prescribe a set of principles for the convening and conduct of Meetings of the Board of Directors and matters related thereto. The principles enunciated in this Standard for meetings of the Board of Directors are equally applicable to meetings of Committees, unless otherwise stated herein or otherwise stipulated by any other applicable guidelines, Rules or Regulations.
