ABOUT THE BOOK

Text divides in 4 parts The first part of the syllabus has covered the principles of the law of contract and its applied branches including indemnity and guarantee; bailment and pledge; and agency. The second part has dealt with various aspects of the law of sale of goods. The third law includes the law relating to limited liability partnership. The LLP is a hybrid form of business organisation combining the benefits of being a corporate entity alongwith the flexibility of the traditional partnership firms. Since modern commerce revolves around information technology, the fourth legislation dealt with in this book relates to relevant provisions of the law of information technology. All the four laws have been explained and illustrated in a simple language coupled with appropriate examples and decided cases. Questions asked in the examination in previous years have been given at the end of each chapter. The practical problems have also been given alongwith the hints to solve them. The overall focus has been to facilitate a grasp of the subject and to equip the students with the ability to tackle the practical issues.
