The purpose of this book is to make the accumulated material available publicly. This book is neither a conventional “Conference proceedings” volume, nor a truly authored, thematic tome. Rather, it contains articles that were published by members of the project-team during the life of this project, both in India and elsewhere, both in media accessible to the public at large (such as professional journals) and under restricted or targeted distribution. The dataset collected during this project turns out to be a true goldmine of information, and its analysis is still ongoing. We expect many more articles to be published in the next year or two, and we shall aim to publish the additional material in media that can be accessible to one and all, such as per reviewed international journals, or journals that can be freely accessed through the internet etc.
