The reported case law is not doubt available to all those who patiently wade through the digests of cases but unreported judgments are not available to all only to the parties concerned directly with the judgment. This collection of cases confined to the field of insurance alone will to a great extent obviate the tedious task of delving into dusty digests and thereafter the actual cases and the consequent waste of time. This digest will help not only the insurer and the assured but also the legal profession and student.
There is a dearth of good treatise on law of insurance in India, so also of digest of insurance cases decided by Courts in India. This digest will supply this long-felt need.
The task of selecting cases and digesting then after going through the general digest and Law Reports and through unreported judgments after tracing them, has been completed within a short span of about four months which does credit to the legal digest committee and the team from L.I.C. and G.I.C. responsible for the same.
