Summary |
The handbook provides, in layman?s language, a brief description of what is covered under the policies; a checklist of actions to be taken by the policyholders to sustain the validity of the insurance contract and to recover claims; notes on special features of different policies, if any; and guidelines on the amount of loss recoverable.
The introductory chapters have been specially written to provide a simple explanation of how the insurance system works.
The book should prove useful not only to policyholders but also to personnel employed in insurance companies, insurance surveyors and students appearing in insurance professional examinations. If it helps even a few policyholder in getting expeditious settlement of their claims, the authors would feel amply rewarded for their effort.
