The book is long overdue. The value of aircraft is increasing and their price rising. The number of passengers carried by aircraft is expected to increase by 5% a year into the foreseeable future. The tonnage of cargo is rising even faster. The estimate for this is over 7% a year.
Alongside these increased number of aircraft flying all over the world is the whole question of who is liable when something goes wrong. Personal liability claims are increasing year by year as we live in an increasing litigations Society. The situation is not made any simpler by the large number of international organizations that have responsibility in one way or another for air transport.
