Summary |
The purpose of this book is to include information about the law, including details of specimen legal cases, and to present information about the day-to-day work of claims officials generally, in actually translating the law into practice.
This book is concerned with indemnity within the context of material damage insurance contracts and will address this concept in three aspects.
1. The law of the principle of indemnity.
2. The practical problems and enquiries which have to be dealt with when trying to establish the amount payable in settlement of material damage claims.
3. The contractual arrangements between the insured and the insurer which restrict or define the amount payable as the indemnity.
