Like all technical subjects there will be changes in the future not only in its theory but also in market practices not least because of legislation and court decision. It is essential, therefore, to remember that this book is only correct as the law and market practice stands at a particular point in time. What will not change, however, are the basic definitions which have to be known so as to understand the nature of the business.
