This volume has been written in the hope of providing an up-to-date text-book for insurance students generally, and in particular for those studying the subject of Public Liability Insurance in connection with the examinations of the Chartered Insurance Institute. The proposal and policy forms in general use and the methods of estimating and rating risks are dealt with at length, and although no attempt has been made to deal with the legal aspects in detail, a limited number of cases and rulings is quoted in order that the reader may appreciate the nature of the hazards in respect of which indemnity is provided.
