This Part of this book deals exclusively with Fire Insurance. Although to a certain extent it is complete in itself, it should be read in conjunction with the first volume of this series, especially with regard to such matters as, e.g. the making of the contract, the premium, add the construction of the policy, for these topics are common to all branches of the law of insurance.
It is purpose of this Part of this book to discuss in more detail those aspects which particularly concern fire insurance.
It is therefore necessary to consider what constitutes a contract of fire insurance, and what its characteristics are. As in other types of insurance it is essential for the insured to have an insurable interest in the subject-matter.
