Summary |
Public Liability insurance is that insurance which is granted to Public Authorities Companies and individuals as an indemnity against their liability for injury to persons outside their service or damage to other peoples property. Motor and Engineering policies cover inter alia this liability, but these are classes of business which are too specialized to be dealt with in this book, and they form separate subjects in the Examinations of the Chartered Insurance Institute. It is therefore intended to deal only with General Public Liability, Driving, Property Owners Indemnity and other insurance as set out in this section of the syllabus of the Institute.
