Summary |
The objective twofold this book is. First, it attempts to show the average good agent that he can write business insurance as well as personal coverages. Second, it seeks to demonstrate to him, in simple, shirt-sleeve English, how to do the job. Toward this end, various ideas are discussed and plenty of actual case histories are used to illustrate the ideas. Obviously, the names, places, and situations have been slightly altered so they could not be identified by anyone familiar with the situation, but they are real people. They are people like those whom you might meet today or tomorrow.
In delineating the area of this volume, authors have limited it to proprietorship, partnership, and corporation coverages. They have not discussed corporation employee plans of any nature-from executive compensation on through group insurance-other than to mention them. Sometimes these other important sources of business get pretty complex, and we have tried to keep these pages relatively simple.
