Summary |
This book is an exposition of the principles and practices of sound life insurance, sufficiently complete to give a clear conception of the business as a whole but not so exhaustive as to be of use only to the specialist. Its purpose is to present a practical and nontechnical explanation of this business to meet the requirements of college students, of employees in life insurance companies both in the home office and in field, as well as of other students of the subject. Other books in this field are either too elementary or too highly technical to meet this need.
The book is based in large part on a course of lectures on life insurance given by the author at Columbia University during the past three years.
