This book is a detailed account of the subject particularly related to the London market but of much wider significance both geographically and also because it profoundly affects underwriting.
It is well illustrated with figures and diagrams and I particularly like the fact that he does not blind his reader with too much advanced mathematics, so that even an old mathematician like myself does not get lost. I like too his treatment of delays in accounting and their effects.
This book has so much sense in it that it must become an essential reference book for all those underwriting for or managing reinsurance operations round the world, as well as serious students – certainly at FCII level.
