This is not intended as another reinsurance textbook for students: however, every serious student should have one as it will give him an insight into the real world of reinsurance which he could not get from all the text book. It is written in a form of notes deliberately and it does not necessarily pose correct solutions to problems but is designed to make the reader pose his own solutions to his own problems. It is intended as a practical workbook for those who are working in insurance or reinsurance and who have a working knowledge of the subject, and for those who own or manage reinsurance operations.
The workbook consists of five introductory chapters which are followed by a number of examples of reinsurance contracts drawn from everyday life.
