Summary |
Mr. Bertschinger has provided in this book the distillation of his experience in the field of management, both of direct writing and reinsurance companies. This experience has included the successful performance of the difficult task of taking over the management of the affairs of an ailing company and bringing it back to better health.
Like all the best distillations Mr. Bertschinger’s book is very concentrated. Because it is based on practical experience it is able to suggest solutions to problems that might otherwise take years to solve by processes of analysis and experiment. It even identifies problem areas that may not always have been recognized as such.
Mr. Bertschinger is not dogmatic; he does not pretend that all his solutions are appropriate for other circumstances but they have passed the most stringent test of all-they work.
