Summary |
“The Adjustment of Public Liability Claims” is the second in what it is hoped will become a series of practical guides for those who earn their living by investigating and setting insurance claims. While this book is primarily intended for student adjusters who have the professional examinations of the C.I.L.A. ahead of them, I believe that all claimsmen, qualified and student alike, will find some use and interest in it.
The book is not in itself a comprehensive guide to settlement of such liability claims as our members encounter. Clearly, statutes such as the Sale of Goods Act and the Unfair Contract Terms Act cannot be adequately dealt with in a volume such as this. Therefore, reference to more specialized books will often be necessary both in practice and probably also for examination purposes.
