Summary |
This second part of General Insurance Essentials may at first glance appear quite onerous. Don’t let the size or the multitude of subjects scare you. As was outlined in the introduction to Par 1, this course was designed to give a broad overview of the insurance industry-the component parts, their functions, how it is regulated and the products and services it offers-not to make instant experts.
Students are not expected to assimilate all the details provided. To make explanations clear it is often necessary to give historical background and examples of practical applications. This has been done in the hope that it will make it easier for students to understand certain concepts. An actual Home-owner’s policy wording has also been included so students can see how all the pieces fit together.
