This book is as near to universal operational manual of insurance as is possible in the circumstances of heterogeneity in insurance terms, conditions, privileges and obligations prevailing in different geo-political zone of the world. The authors have strong business advisory practices in almost all time zones of the world. The authors are particularly grateful for their operational exposure in various private and public sector companies in India, Singapore, Malaysia GCC, more particularly UAE and Qatar, Iran, USA, Africa and UK. Some doctoral students have also indirectly contributed to the effort by asking research questions, which forced some of the authors to think through the logical algorithm stepping out of their zone of comfort. Similarly Board level interventions on corporate and regulatory world as also advisory assignments in insurance area to various Governments helped the authors to conceptualize some technical user specs. Many corporate and regulators have internalized the work of the authors in their operation profiles.
