The need for a fairly comprehensive treatise upon the Law of Industrial Assurance has been felt for some time past, and this fact has prompted the author to undertake the task of preparing this book. In compiling the work the object in view has been to deal with that part of the law of life assurance which applies specifically to industrial assurance and no attempt has been made to cover the law which relates to ordinary life assurance or which is common to both branches of the subject. For information upon the general law of life assurance and the difficult questions of title which arise under claims to life assurance policies, the reader is referred to the standard works upon the law of life assurance.
