Summary |
This book deals with the law of agency as it affects insurance agents and brokers, and is intended primarily for students preparing for the Chartered Insurance Institute examinations in which the subject is included.
It is perhaps one of the most significant things about British insurance that though the majority of insurances are affected through the instrumentality of an agent-and there are many thousands of agencies in existence-the disputes that arise between offices and their agents are few, and the case law on the subject is consequently very meagre.
