This new book is not to be regarded as a “defense” of life insurance. Defense is never very exciting to anyone; attack on almost any grounds, does become, because of our nature as human beings, much more fascinating. So the readers of this book should look not for defense but for counter-attack.
The crucial point of this book, which is designed both for general public readership and more particularly for the agents who will direct the attention of their own publics to it, is the incontrovertible fact that cash value life insurance is being sold in increasing quantities each year and that the proof of the pudding is therefore in the eating.
