This book is mainly concerned with the investment of the funds of the funds of managed pension funds, sometimes called self-administered pension funds, as distinct from the schemes provided by the insurance companies. There are, however, references to pension schemes generally, including insured schemes, their requirements, their needs, their problems and the setting up of such schemes. Under the chapter headed ‘The Figures of the Movement’ it will be seen that managed pension funds account for nearly 70% in value of all pension funds.
